Every Curated analysis can leave the workspace three ways. The right one depends on who's seeing it and what they'll do with it.
PDF export
Best for: stakeholders outside your workspace, formal IC packages, records-of-decision, anything that needs to be archived.
How: click Export → PDF on any artifact. Sources are cited inline, including web sources (since v2.3). The PDF stands on its own — recipients don't need a Curated account.
Caveats: PDFs are static. If your underlying data updates, the PDF won't reflect it. Re-export when something changes.
Shareable artifact URL
Best for: colleagues who'll interact with the analysis live — drill into specific metrics, follow links to sources, see the latest version.
How: click Share on any artifact. Three share modes:
- Public link — anyone with the URL can open it. Useful for sending to clients or vendors who don't have a Curated account.
- Email-gated — recipients sign in with email before viewing.
- Workspace-only — visible only to members of your tenant.
URLs are stable — if you version the artifact, the URL still points to the latest version (or to a specific version, if you share that one).
Embedded widget
Best for: internal portals, customer-facing dashboards, ArcGIS Experience Builder apps.
Two options:
Curated Widget (Professional Max and above)
A JS snippet you drop into any HTML page. Per-widget configuration:
- Scope — which Space, which layers, which playbooks the widget can use
- Capabilities — full chat, PlaceStory generation, voice mode, etc.
- Branding — your theme, your colors
Admins manage widgets at Settings → Widgets. Each widget gets an install snippet and an analytics view.
Curated Connector for ArcGIS Experience Builder (Professional Max and above)
A dedicated connector for ExB apps. Drop it into any ExB experience and users get conversational analysis over the web map they're already using.
Configuration:
- Selection sync — Curated picks up what's selected on the map
- Layer scoping — which layers are visible to the embedded surface
- Branded output — outputs respect your ExB app's brand
When to use which
| Audience | Mode | |---|---| | IC, board, regulator | PDF export | | Internal colleague who'll interact | Shareable URL | | Customer / vendor / external partner | PDF or public URL | | Internal portal user | Embedded widget | | ArcGIS-using analyst in your org | ExB Connector |
Versioning
For both PDF and shareable URL, every export or version is preserved. You can roll back, compare versions, or branch.
